We know it was a long time coming, and we hope you are excited as we are. But now you can try out our game DREAD.
DREAD is a first person psychological survival horror game with strong influences from H.P. Lovecraft. Discover the nightmare world that Alex Mann finds himself in, and dive deeper into what is really going on in the world of DREAD.
Hit that button below to download and play the DREAD teaser demo. Then pop over to facebook, twitter, or Google+ and let us know what you thought.
And it is done.
We created a game in three days and it works... Mostly. Sure there are some things we would've liked to have added or some things we wish worked better. But up against some serious obstacles we killed it. We came together as a team and got it done.
The theme was what goes up must come down, so we took an idea that we all loved, and made it our own. This was a labor of love, as we based the concept on missile command. A game though, I personally, was never good at, still tried diligently to beat as a kid. So what fun it was to try and recreate that fun for a more modern world.
But don't take my word for it, here is the page with our submission.
*It's almost at the bottom, just look for the image posted above.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed making it.
For the record we started working on this May 12th 3:21 pm MST that gave us 3 days, 8 hours, 39 minutes to complete, package and submit it.
wish us luck.
for those interested all the details are posted on Epic's Unreal forum over here
HAPPY NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!!! We are really into ice cream. We're also not the most in shape people in the world. I for one, see no connection between those things. But I am no ice cream scientist. Just a consumer.
We here at Tall Ship Studio have had a deep concern for the state of ice cream as it stands. Our problem solely resides in the fact that not everyone has access to ice cream every day. That includes us.
So if you're also a strong supporter of everyone having ice cream on national ice cream day, help out some starving developers and buy us a scoop. We seriously appreciate it. So much so that every person who donates to Tall Ship Studio, has access to alpha and beta testing, no matter what they donate.
I promise that it will directly benefit the game development process. We thank you for your kindness. And truly love ice cream.

We have a tendency to think things sometimes, it's rare, but we do it. And sometimes those thoughts are hilarious. And you know we wouldn't want you to miss out on funny scenarios. So spend some time here at our blog to see what kind of unconventional nonsense we're thinking this week. We love to discuss (argue) topics and ideas, Ian and I, so if you're lucky we may argue across blog posts. Or even share some untimely wisdom. So stay tuned to our blog and join the adventures in the comments. We welcome any correspondence, and truly would love to hear from you!
We promise to keep this blog clean, crowd around the laptop monitor and enjoy it with the whole family. And since that really isn't our demographics, just you is fine too.
Finally we are gonna be discussing a lot about video games, and the video game industry, not to mention our projects as well. So please, please, please, no trolling, and even though I know that seems like an open invitation, we do actually monitor our comments, if you're going to be a troll, you'll be banned for life. But other than that. Enjoy!
For now have a great week. Or until we blog post next.
