I am at the day job,(not the Studio) while slaving away working on a project, i feel like i have not accomplished anything sometimes coding can be so frustrating when you have a single part that you can't get to work quite the way you want. So I have been having a Perfect example of An Edison Day (yes, i am coining this term) i have not made it work the way i want but i have found about forty ways it doesn't.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas A. Edison
Coding is just full of Edison Days; And this ladies and gentlemen is why it is so hard to be a great Coder, time and tasks are no more than Peripherally related. when building a program somethings take far less than you expect, and others take 10 fold longer.
it Takes Perseverance and Passion... and rest assured that we have plenty of Passion, and the wherewithal to make Divine Reign(and all of our games) Great.
This Process is not a bad thing, iterating through your code also gives the Proactive Programmer opportunities to optimize and improve it with every pass. And if you are Anal retentive like most of the good programmers, you wont stop tweaking and adjusting your code until it is flawless.
and while it may sound ridiculous, i actually look forward to spending hundreds of hours buried in Code, building The Games That will give fresh new Gameplay to the Masses
