Hey guys! This is Colby. Ever had a really cool idea, and it just didn't seem to make the cut? You have this fantastic premise for a story, but you're stuck on where to go? Yeah, we've been there too. I can tell you the best way to start a story is have a character with a defined main goal. Then, once he's set, let him (or her) run. Follow where they go and be pretty surprised at the twists your stories may take. Characters and Stories are less about structure and more about experience. If you're into what you're writing (or drawing) and you're being pulled into it, there's a high chance that maybe your audience will to.
That is, if your audience is bored, you'll be bored. And vice versa. Take a risk. You never know where you'll end up!
