So part of what I do as the Creative Director is to work with the Art and Modeling team to work out what the game's look will be. To do this we do a lot of brainstorming and we start doing sketches and then eventually these renders. I am also the Environment Designer, so that means on top of driving the direction of the games look and story, I also get to do hands on work of things like the painting above.This is a design of the fire kingdom, the volcano in the background houses an arena suspended above the lake of lava.
The image on the left is the Earth Kingdom, and the one on the right is Water. With each of these paintings I'm trying to communicate what the environment looks like as well as what the races live like.
