Today, we have a couple of announcements to, well, announce.
The first is a bit sad. Dread(for the foresee-able future) is dead. Having lived in the world of Dread for the past couple years it is truly sad to see it go, but with the resources and team available we cannot do it justice... and we refuse to produce a sub-standard game. We struggled with this decision for months, but in the end we had to let it go.
Secondly, on a happier note, we have been working on a number of projects and we are looking forward to showing them to you...but, not until they are ready.
Of our projects, there are two that are noteworthy; One in pre-production, the other is in production; One is for mobile, the other desktop; Both projects have a section on our website, and these pages will be updated as we release more information on the projects... So stay tuned to get all the latest info.
p.s. the easiest way to hear all of our news is to join our newsletter with the form below.
I know that you guys have been waiting for a playable teaser, that we have mentioned more than a few times. Unfortunately we have had a few snags along the way... But I am pleased to say that the Playable Teaser should be out very soon.
To the left is a button we will be using on Kickstarter to share the Playable Teaser.
As an added bonus, we have completed the initial concept for the OFFICIAL box art of DREAD.
We are excited to Announce that the Kickstarter campaign for DREAD: Book of Lovecraft is now live!
For those of you who may not be familiar with what Kickstarter is; Kickstarter is a platform helps people get support for new and innovative products when they don't have the capital to go it alone. essentially it is a place where individuals(and companies) can pitch a product and take pre-orders for those products... without the need for large capital reserves.
simply put, it lets start-ups and the little guys compete with the big guys.
after some work, and careful consideration, we have decided that DREAD: Book of Lovecraft and Kickstarter are a good fit; To that end we have launched our Kickstarter campaign.
we are offering a number of cool and fun rewards in addition to the game itself. check it out let us know what you think; I am confident It will be worth your time.
feel free to share it amongst anyone you feel would be interested. stay tuned for more updates, including a playable demo.
The most important part of any Kickstarter campaign is the Support behind it. so thank you for all that you guys do.
After months of work, and more sleep-less nights than we care to admit, we have got our prototype for DREAD in a state that we are confident to show people. that's where all of you come in. We are looking for a group of people to play the game; play it and break it!
Those selected will be asked to install the demo(probably more than once), play it through (probably more than once) and tell us how to make it better. we would like to have a group of people, preferably without heart conditions, who love to play games and are not easily frustrated.
To that end, and in an effort to add a little element of fun, we will be choosing the play testers for anyone who follows us on IndieBD, Facebook, Twitter, or subscribes to our newsletter.
As an added bonus, for each 100 followers we will give away a Fun Prize... These are unique items that no one outside of our team has.
So here is how we are going to do it; everyone who follows us will be added to the list of candidates, we will work through the candidate list sending out a few simple questions (OS, specs, games you've played, etc.) to see if you are a good fit. Those that are will get the prototype and be asked to play it... After which we will ask a couple of additional question... To make sure it is at its best.
For the time being we are focusing on the PC build first, and Mac second... Sorry, Linux folk you will have to wait until the Unreal Engine 4 beta.
We are doing this in preparation for our Kickstarter that starts on Halloween, so you have to follow us before Monday (the deadline is October 26th 11:59pm MST) in order be considered, so follow early and get ready to have some fun.
We are providing the Links below to make it as easy as possible for you to get in on it.
As always we are constantly trying to find a way to bring you new and interesting content leading up to Kickstarter. As luck would have it our CTO found a website that lets us upload our 3D models and puts them into an interactive flash file so you can take a look at the art of DREAD in an all new way. So check this out, and with time allowing we will be uploading more models from DREAD: Book of Lovecraft.

We bring you new, fun and innovative ways to play.
