Elyse Young here with some exciting news about Divine Reign! We are now beginning work to put Divine Reign up as a project on Kickstarter. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding website, which will allow us to raise money to put DR into full, faster development. We are hoping to have a couple videos up on the page, to show you guys what DR will be all about. I am excited to see what will happen with these, as one of them will be a video of gameplay! More will be posted about this video as it progresses. When I first heard about the game, I thought it was a cool idea but I didn't quite get the whole vision of the thing. After asking a few questions I realized that this game could be really fun to play. Then I joined the coding team and I found that it is even fun to write. Trying to work within the unity engine’s framework has been interesting to say the least but overall I feel that this experience has made me a better programmer and given me the
opportunity to learn things I never would learn otherwise. - Aaron
Hey everyone, Young here from the concept team. I'm equally as bananas about this game coming out, so much I want to hurt myself. For the past few days I've been given the opportunity to work on a promotional comic for the game among other things. Sorry to say I can't give you any previews as of late but I can show you other things I've done. This here is some concepts of some Light Temple Monks and boy are they styl'in! Not sure if this'll be the final design or not, but they look good anyway. I'll be posting more stuff later on with the rest of the team, so keep checking for juicy sneak peeks and cool stuff! Hey, Micah here! I have the pleasure of getting to post up here about how awesome this game is going to be! I am part of the art team at Tall Ship Studios, and get to work with some really talented artist, coming up with really cool concepts and designs for how this game is going to look. I personally have been working on character concepts for various elemental creatures that are in the game. So far I've worked on the fire kingdom units and my favorite the earth kingdom units.
I wanted to post a few study sketches that I've done for the various earth kingdom designs. I did alot of research in greek and roman art to get the look that we wanted the earth creatures to have.
I am really proud to be working on such a great game, and I can't stress enough on how epic it's going to be. As an avid gamer I am stoked to see the end results! So please, please, PLEASE, tell everyone about this game!
Character Concept Artist- Micah Graham
This is Sam again with some updates on WTF we're doing with characters! As of late, it's been my job to complete the hero of our tale, and involve the elements necessary into his design to tell his story; what he has been through, and what he will become.
Right now, we're starting production on his armor sets (this will be his starting set). In order to streamline this process, I've made a sort of "paper doll" model of him in PSD format so we can easily throw some totally sweet armor on top of it, and quicken the concepting process for all of our artists, as well as make things easy for our 3D modelers by keeping a consistent scale. Don't worry your eager little heads though, we'll have some super sweet fully rendered art for him in the future, as well as a peek into his back story.
